Dental bonding

Do you have chipped, cracked or discolored teeth, or noticeable gaps between teeth? If so, cosmetic dental bonding could be the answer you’re looking for. Dental bonding helps improve patients’ smiles and increases self-esteem. With dental bonding, a tooth-colored resin is – as the name implies – bonded to the structure of your existing tooth. Unlike other cosmetic dentistry options, like crowns, bridges or veneers, dental bonding doesn’t remove any significant amount of your original tooth, opting instead to add to your existing enamel, forming perfectly-shaped and spaced teeth in no time.

And the benefits of dental bonding don’t stop there: it also has other advantages. Since the dental resin is available in a wide variety of shades, we can always find a perfect match for our patients. It’s also quicker than many other cosmetic dental options, with bonding appointments taking no more than an hour to complete in most cases.

It isn’t, however, without its drawbacks. For one, dental resin tends to not be as durable as more permanent options like veneers and crowns, so future touch-up appointments can be expected. Resin can also stain more easily and need to be carefully cleaned and maintained.

If you’re ready for a brand new smile, contact our office and see if dental bonding is right for you.
